Warranty and service alerts

A warranty that expires unnoticed is money left on the table; a missed service becomes a breakdown. Velosiq watches both dates for you.

Warranty alerts

Give your assets a Warranty Expiry date and Velosiq keeps watch:

  • Dashboard — the "Warranties expiring soon" card counts active assets whose warranty ends within the next 30 days, linking straight to your asset list
  • Notifications — the bell icon alerts you when a warranty enters your warning window, checked daily

Choose your window in Settings → Notification Preferences: get warned 7, 14, 30, 60, or 90 days ahead (30 is the default). Big-ticket equipment deserves the 90-day setting — enough runway to schedule a warranty-covered repair before the coverage ends.

Service alerts

Set a Next Service Date on an asset (directly, or by scheduling it from a maintenance entry) and:

  • Overdue service dates render red in the asset list and on the asset page, marked "(overdue)"
  • The Service Alerts card on the Assets ROI analytics tab counts what's overdue and what's due within 30 days — green when everything's current

The rhythm that works

  1. When equipment arrives: record purchase date, warranty expiry, and the first service date
  2. When it's serviced: log the entry and schedule the next service in the same dialog
  3. Let the alerts do the remembering

See Notifications for how alerts are delivered.
