Connect Stripe to accept card payments

Stripe powers card payments in Velosiq. Connecting takes a few minutes and is available on every plan, including Free.

Why connect

  • Charge cards directly from any invoice — see Charge a card

  • Automatic bookkeeping — checkout payments are recorded on the invoice for you

Velosiq adds no platform fee. You pay only Stripe's standard card-processing fees; every dollar your client pays (minus Stripe's fee) goes to your Stripe account and pays out to your bank on Stripe's normal schedule.

How to connect

  1. Go to Settings → Payments.
  2. Click Connect Stripe to accept payments.
  3. You'll be taken to Stripe's secure onboarding — business details, bank account for payouts, identity verification. This information goes to Stripe directly; Velosiq never sees your banking details.
  4. When you finish, you're returned to Velosiq.

Connection states

The Payments card in Settings always shows where you stand:

  • Not connected — the Connect button is waiting for you
  • Onboarding incomplete — Stripe still needs something; click Finish Stripe setup to pick up where you left off. Card payments stay disabled until Stripe enables charges.
  • Connected and ready — you're live. A View Stripe dashboard button gives you one-click access to your Stripe account for payouts, refunds, and reporting.

Note: Stripe onboarding currently supports US-based businesses, and all amounts are in USD.
